The UniStick: a much-awaited innovation
Patients have long been asking for a solution like the UniStick® as a novel alternative to more conventional containers. As a vector for today's on-the-go lifestyle and product safety, UniStick® is an easy-to-use, environmentally friendly solution.
One of the first applications is 2% Ketoconazole, produced for all the generic drugmakers in France. UniStick® is a very appropriate packaging solution for this drug. 2% Ketoconazole has been on sale in pharmacies as an 8-stick box since January 2009.
Unither's R&D centre has just developed the first sugar-free carbocysteine syrup for adults in a stick pack format. The product was approved by the French regulatory authorities (the AFSSAPS) in March 2010 and is now on sale in pharmacies as a 15-stick box. It is due to be commercialized in the rest of Europe and further afield in the coming months.
