Bottles : Overview
We have over 20 years of experience in non-sterile bottled liquids, with many products manufactured by its sites on the European and US. Bottles are a cost-effective traditional dosage form for syrups, drops and dermal preparations. Through the Colomiers (France) and Rochester (US) sites, Unither manages the full development of a drug product or a medical device from conception to the marketing stage, providing the benefit of Unither's development expertise.
The bottles are a traditional dosage form for oral administration of liquid preparations. They are very attractive for products with adapted posology that can vary with the body weight (especially in babies and children), with the severity of the disease, or with the patient’s physical limitations.
Bottles can be fitted with standard caps, childproof caps or fitted with a cap with a hole in the middle that allows use of an oral syringe for dosing the medicine.
An ideal dosage form for syrups, solutions and suspensions for oral or topical administration, bottles are often used in therapeutic areas of pain management, cough and cold treatment (dry and persistent cough), gastroenterology (antacid preparations), and dermatology.
We have two bottling production sites, one in France, and one in the US. Both sites are inspected by European Authorities to provide the products to the European markets. The US Site is FDA inspected to supply the American market.
With a large capacity for solutions and suspensions, and a renowned expertise in manufacturing suspensions, we are always ready to welcome new products in development alongside existing products as production needs increase.
Our teams perform tech-transfer of products developed by our customers or third parties. They also perform the full development of drug products or medical devices on a custom basis. Thanks to its highly trained on-site dedicated R&D teams with dedicated pilot plants, we can manage product development from the earliest stages.
